Homework! Oh, Homework!

Homework! Oh, Homework,
I hate you, you stink!
I wish I could wash you away in the sink,
If only a bomb would explode you to bits,
Homework! Oh, Homework, you're giving me fits

I'd rather take baths with a man eating shark....

Or wrestle a lion alone in the dark....
Eat spinach and liver,
pet 10 porcupines....
than tackle the homework my teacher assigns.....
Homework! Oh, Homework!
You're last on my list....
I simple can't see why you even exist.
If you'd just disappear,
It'd tickle me pink.
Homework! Oh, Homework....
I hate you, you stink!
Yes, this is the poem I think of every Wednesday when my son brings home his homework. I remember when he started Pre4 I was so excited to start helping him with homework.... It has turned into everything but fun! I must remember I have two boys who may not get quite so excited as I used to when it was time to shop for school supplies and do my homework.

    I have one that loves it and one that fights it....plus we work on spelling words 6 nights aweek... the torture of being a kid!!!!!Loved the poem! The shots rocked.

    What a fun poem! Homework is the pitts but if you act like its fun he may do it when he's older w/o too much fight..... one can hope right?!
