I have had so much fun so far doing this 365 day project. It reminds me a lot of my 30 days of beauty project I did late last year. Its helping me to view my world in a whole new way rather than sometimes getting stuck in the very routine route it can so easily take.
Here are my photos for the week:
Day 8/365:
This peanut butter chocolate covered pretzel I saw at the store and literally bought it just so I could take a picture of it. I ended up buying one for each of us....After I tasted the first one I must admit that I hid the others and saved them all for myself. Yes, sometimes a mommy has the right to be selfish.
Day 9/365
I saw this tutorial somewhere on how to create bubbles on an orange. I'm going to be honest, I don't remember where...Maybe The Bonnie 5... I'm sorry!! Anyways, I had fun trying this out. I decided to dip my orange into Sprite to create the max amount of bubbles. I thought it turned out okay....
Day 10/365
Sometimes I ask myself why we bought an older home and then moments like this remind me of why I love our neighborhood! This was taken the day of our massive snow storm of the south. With that being said, can you guess what the rest of the weeks pictures were of??? ;)
Day 11/365
Our snow quickly turned to thick ice on all the trees and streets.
Day 12/365
This is the gorgeous view looking from our yard-straight down the neighborhood. It's not often that snow/ice sticks around for this long. And the beauty of this is the snow has literally turned into an untouched sheet of ice that looks so smooth and perfect.
Day 13/365
Drip drop....It's finally starting to melt. Let me remind Mother Earth...This is the South!!!
Day 14/365
Okay, okay, okay...Have we had enough of the snow and ice already!? Seriously, after all that I couldn't end the week without something...yes, the snow is still on the ground but rather than take another picture of the real stuff I decided to take a picture of my scarf while sitting at work. I'm sure my co-workers who saw me clearly thought I was nuts. :)
That's all for week 2...I am loving this challenge though and can't wait to start in on week 3. It will be interesting to see what life has to throw at me this coming week.
These are awesome! Love the orange shot! Yesterday I tried the shots with water and oil that they featured on The Bonnie 5. So much fun. Your results were great! Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteI love your shots.. and yes the orange was originally on the bonnie 5.. I tried it this week too.. it was fun to ply with .. Your neighborhood is gorgeous, and you are making me regret the newer neighborhood we just moved into!
ReplyDeleteYou are killing me right now with that chocolate covered pretzel. Oh my! It's so hard to stay on the losing weight track track when I have all this delicious food to look at all over the internet! Gah! Yum-O! The others are just as fabulous, just not as edible. Ha! And, I agree 100%. Baby feet are the best! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteVery cool day 9 shot. I also really like your day 12 shot. This is one photo link I wished I would have joined it looks like a ton of fun.
ReplyDeleteYour orange photo turned out great. I bought a lemon but I haven't tried it yet. I love day 12 too. The sun is so sparkly and looks neat shinging on the ice. Great week of photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so beautiful! I love that you bought the pretzel just to photograph it, that's totally something I would do (and eating the others myself, also something I would do!) I really like the B&W conversion in your day 10, and the sun flare in day 12 is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was on the Bonnie 5 blog - she does such cool stuff :D Love all your winter shots... pretty soon, they will be a thing of the past so we should enjoy it now -right!?!?
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I love your snow pictures. That ones on day 10 & 11 are gorgeous! Wonderful job this week. Can't wait to see what you do next week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow while it lasts - though I'm sure your paths and roads are quite dangerous when it turns to ice. I loved your snow shots and that amazing sunflare the best.
ReplyDeleteoh wow, those are lovely. Love the orange!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment! Your peanut butter chocolate pretzel looks absolutely yummy!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I want to try the orange in soda too!
ReplyDeleteWe must live close to each other, because we were seeing a lot of the same things weather-wise. (I live in the Piedmont Triad, NC). It was pretty amazing to see acres of land covered by a sheet of ice!
ReplyDeleteBTW, that's pretty funny about the pretzel (and I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that does that.) We're potty training my younger now, and we're doing M&M's as an incentive. I could probably buy one little bag to last the whole week, but do you think I'm doing that? Um, no (blush). I'm buying the party bag, and when she gets one M&M, Mommy sneaks a small handful. I have GOT to stop doing that!
wow every one of these is great. i espeicially like day 10. and that pretzel looks so tasty.
ReplyDeleteThat orange shot is awesome! I'm going to have to try that one out!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Nap Time Mom Tog :)
Great shots... I want to move to your neighborhood! :)
ReplyDeleteReally good, Jess. The one I looked at the longest was the "snow flake". I tried to figure out how you did it before I read it was your scarf.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Those chocolate covered pretzels look yummy!
ReplyDeleteI live in the north where we have plenty of snow, which is making it difficult finding things other than snow/ice to photograph. I need to use my imagination! :)
That bubbles and orange shot is very cool.
ReplyDeleteMmmm... pretzels! I love days 10 and 12... so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteyummy pretzels! I am always a sucker for those.
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is watering at the sight of that pretzel!! Can you send one to Oregon??? Haha. Your pictures are stunning, by the way. I can't wait for next week! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection! I love day 10!
ReplyDeleteOh my, those were some awesome pictures!! Love all the snow and ice.
