With that being said here is my before and after. I'm not listing my steps because I literally took each step Ashley took in her post with the exception of maybe changing the numbers a bit to be more fitting for my specific picture. I'm very excited! Having a nice edited software like Adobe Elements does you no good if you don't know how to use it.

Shoot & Edit: Session One
I mentioned in my post about the snow storm that I would be linking up with Ashley and Jill in a new photo challenge learning curve...Not really sure what to call it. Basically on Mondays I will be posting a shot straight from my camera with no editing. On Thursday Ashley will show her edited shot and go over what steps she took to create such a beautiful picture.

nice!!! well done
ReplyDeleteYou've done a really nice job and I'm glad to see that those steps helped. Since you're pretty new to Elements, feel free to let me know what you're struggling with most so I can try to speak to that area.
ReplyDeleteIt really pops! I like Ashley's instructions too.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Subtle but yet really pops! I'm on a huge learning curve too...
ReplyDeletenice job. i can really see the details now.
ReplyDeletelove the textures found in winter
ReplyDeleteLove how it pops! Great edit! Love it! xo
ReplyDeleteCool! Great work!
ReplyDeleteThe tuturial really helped to bring out the best in your capture :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I've been messing with photoshop about a year now..but I started with PSE7 and then when I got to learn it pretty good I got CS5 so I'm re learning and finding new things I can do. But I love your edit! It' brightened up the whites and burned the blacks! Nice
ReplyDeleteYour enhancements are great. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI like it! Great job. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast...nice! :)
ReplyDeleteGood job! I like how the plant/weeds/grass/seed pods/thingies (lol) are clearly defined and stand out from the snow.
ReplyDeletePSE can be pretty intimidating until you learn your way around. Besides Ashley's blog, another excellent place to get help from is Everyday Elements (www.everydayelementsonline.com). Amanda has tons of video tutorials, written tutorials, and offers classes. That's where I've learned most of my pse skills (ha!) from!
Oh, and your header is adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteThe edit really lightened up the photos bringing out more contrast. Great job.
ReplyDeleteGreat edit!
